I have loved dogs my entire life. My family had a yellow lab when I was growing up and I have had two rescues of my own. My experience started in August of 2018 as a volunteer dog walker at the Humane Society of Southern Arizona. I loved working with dogs so much during this time that I decided devote my life to training dogs. Since then, I have worked as a canine coach for Dogtopia and then later on at the Humane Society as the Canine Enrichment Specialist. These two places have allowed me to grow my knowledge in dog behavior tremendously. I started with Complete Canine in August of 2021 because I wanted to learn more about how to teach people to train dogs.
My specific area of interest is modifying unwanted behaviors in dogs so that they can enjoy a good life with humans. I am Fear Free certified and believe the guidelines of least intrusive minimally aversive training produces the best results.
I like to spend my free time with my Staffordshire Terrier Spike working on commands and also watching him play with stuffed animals.

Throughout life I’ve had a special spot in my ❤️ for animals; especially dogs. As a kid, I volunteered at the Palo Alto Junior Museum assisting in caring for the animals. Growing up I had a variety of pets; bird, fish, hamsters, ferrets, dogs, cats... As an adult I pursued education in dog grooming, vet assisting and dog training. During my training with Animal Behavior College, I interned at the Humane Society of Silicon Valley. After graduating, I volunteered and co-taught with the trainers there. Dog training is my passion and I feel fortunate to be able to share that with you at The Complete Canine! Life is good 😊 when you’re doing something you love!
